Robert Wilson:
ROBERT WILSON: Band leader, accomplished Harmonica Player and Lead Singer has been playing the blues since his early teens on the banks of the Ohio River. Robert is originally from southwestern Pennsylvania and has lived his adult life in Colorado. Robert’s influences include Little Walter, Sonny Terry, Paul Butterfield, Charlie Musslewhite and many more. Robert's style is his own, though, and is always evolving. A veteran "band-meister," Robert plays Country Blues, Rock Blues, Chicago Blues and Jump Swing Blues, all of which combine to create the constantly evolving sound of the ROBERT WILSON BLUES BAND. Robert is a blues cat (with 7 of his 9 lives intact) and he emotes the blues through his hot harmonica and his soulful voice. Join Robert and the band for a true blues experience.
Bobby K:
BOBBY K: the band's drummer is the real deal. A consummate blues man, he brings skill, soul and unmatched enthusiasm to the table. Bobby has been playing music his whole life and that is convincingly apparent from downbeat to closing time. Bobby is not only an incredible drummer, he is a great singer. When Bobby sings he evokes an emotional response that touches the soul. Combined with Willy Clay's talent, Bobby establishes the backbone that carries the band and the audience to a rhythmic sympathetic resonance.
Willy Clay:
WILLY CLAY CUBIN: A bass player’s bass player. Willy's skills allow him to direct the rhythm section with an unprecedented integrity. Willy has been playing in the Northern Colorado area since he was a kid. He constantly improves as he immerses himself in his music. His musical talents include Blues, Rock, Progressive Blues, Jazz and Classical. Is there anything left? Come hear for yourself. You will be glad you did.
Rex Shirtz:
REX SHIRTZ: (Guitaurus Rex) is a blues journeyman. Rex has played blues and rock throughout his musical career. Rex projects the blues through his aggressive guitar playing and expressive singing which always evokes a visceral response from every audience. Rex's dedication to the music is obvious when watching and listening to him play. When Rex wails, you'll hear a genuine bluesman.
Jimmy Mangan:
JIMMY MANGAN: piano player, singer and much more, has been playing music for over fifty years. Well versed in many genres of music, he excels in all of them. His experience endows him with the ability to play his instruments with unprecedented skill and soulful expression. Jimmy plays his own sound and is the envy of his peers. His vocal talent is an invaluable asset to the band, singing both leads and dead-on harmonies. Jimmy brings a high level of musical energy to every performance.
